As of 2001, the evolution of Automatisa's portfolio was growing, constant and always based on aspects of innovation. This made companies from several countries in South America, Central America and Europe acquire the products in its portfolio and in 2003 the company became an exporter of laser technology.

O embrião da Automatisa nasceu a partir da experiência de seus fundadores, entre eles o engenheiro mecânico e especialista em Laser na Alemanha, Marcos Lichtblau, em uma feira internacional nos Estados Unidos no ano de 1996. Nesse evento, viram um novo produto que associava o recorte e a gravação a LASER à máquinas de bordado industrial. Nessa época, produtos como esse não existiam no Brasil e não eram viáveis economicamente. A provocação os levou a criar um novo conceito de equipamento, funcional e econômico para o mercado Latino Americano.
